Patient Care

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic we are unable to offer routine services in the same way that we previously have. We are introducing a new system for our annual or 6 monthly vascular, blood pressure, diabetes and coeliac disease reviews.

Most reviews will now be done in two or three parts the first part will be done by telephone followed by an appointment at the surgery for a blood test. This reduces the amount of time a patient needs to spend in the surgery.  Patients who then require a review will have a telephone appointment arranged (not all patients will need this if results are normal).

You should wait to be contacted by a member of the practice team to arrange your review and proceed with the next steps.

As part of our new system we will request that you record your blood pressure at home, wherever possible. You can download here a home BP recordings sheet. Ensure you record the information clearly.

Please bring this information with you to your scheduled blood test appointment & this information can then be recorded as part of your annual review.

Asthma or COPD Reviews

These reviews will be done by telephone call or video link with one of our respiratory nurses Louise or Tamsin. The practice will make contact with you to arrange an appointment for your review. Before your appointment we ask that you complete a control questionnaire and have these answers ready for when the nurse phones you.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

If you have a high temperature, new continuous cough or a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell please do not attend the surgery.
